The Children’s parade has just ended. We are searching for that familiar Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade that we drink at least a gallon of every year. Icily relieving our anticipation, it’s the same refreshing delight we have come to expect at the Old Fashioned Festival here around Downtown Newberg. We sit to take a break in Memorial Park, only three blocks from home. In a few minutes, we’ll be attending the Dog Costume Contest at Renne Field Tennis Courts, about a block away. It will be a challenging goal to spread our fair-food affair over the course of four days. So, for now, we just sit and daydream about what we will try and when, during these next few, fun-filled days of this years themed Old Fashioned Festival: Christmas in July.
Philly Cheese Steak? Apple Fries? Elephant Ears? How about all on one plate, please.
